Hello, I am Stash Nibbler and I am almost four years old: knitted on the island of Sanday in Scotland, I left the blocking mats on June 11, 2010. I am a Frozen Leaves Shawl and Pure White. I am not all that deep but do have very long legs. My vital statistics are 62-30-42 inches and I weigh in at a very trim 52 grammes.
My parentage is impeccable, with design by Anusla and yarn from ColourMart – a classy 2-ply blend of Merino and Silk with Cashmere in laceweight and frankly, very refined – at over 1,500 yards to 100 grams. My Aunt was sandralice, who played a large part in saving my adoptive mother’s sanity in the earliest stages of my growth. Plumbum, took care with my development and fostered both my good looks and my charm, as I flourished under her care.
I was lucky in being bestowed with good genes at birth. Sometimes I wonder if, like Cinderella, I was given three Fairy Godmothers to bestow on me the trio of gifts that I grew up with: Grace, Beauty, and Delicacy. I once entered a Beauty Pageant and was placed Second. I should have taken First place but unfortunately I have a shortcoming: I am one corner short of the full square. This does not make me Simple – I consider myself to be only slightly off-centre and rather complex in my make-up. You may call me eccentric, if you wish.
Speaking of makeup – I don’t wear any. Beading was considered when I was in my teenage stage of development but frankly, why gild the lily? I like to think that I shine best when displayed in my simplicity. If you seek a showy shawl, I am not the one for you.
I have led a quiet life until now and have rarely left my tissue wrappings or the shade of my home drawer. I have been waiting for Miss Right.
My ideal Miss Right will possess the best in good taste and will appreciate my pureness of spirit and beauty. She will offer me a plain white dress, probably in an off-the shoulder design. Miss Right will most likely be a Summer Bride.
My focus in life is to go to my wedding. I am not seeking a quick fling. I am looking for the right pair of shoulders to drape myself around. This need not be an exclusive relationship: I expect to be long-lived and hope to have further weddings on the shoulders of Miss Right’s own little Miss Rights. In the meantime I may expect outings to their Christenings. Ideally Miss Right will have sisters who will participate in a non-exclusive relationship. I’m up for some fun!
