EDIT: Please see Saturday’s blog post for clarification and help with the puzzle. Small edits have been made to the puzle since it was first posted, to help you to solve it.
My First is in Knit, but is not in Crochet
(I don’t do the C-thing, two sticks are the way.)
My second’s in one Quincy, but not in the other
(I cannot help being a Brooklyn Tweed lover!)
My Third fades in Autumn, but glows in the Grey,
(as Aestlight’s a shawl for all times of the day.)
The Fourth’s in a sleeper yet not in awake
(I’ll Comfort-eat Pi, but I’ll also eat cake)
To find my Fifth, put some Icing on top
We won’t find what we need at Ye Olde Tea Shoppe.
Hannelore’s the lass who is keeping My Last
I think she chilled it ‘neath the Ferns, in the grass.
The item you seek is both long and is lace
It comes from a knitter’s most challenging place.
My parts are all Projects, my whole is in Q,
If you un-Ravel the clues, then it’s easy to do.
What am I?
I would consider it very poor form and rather bad taste to suggest that this post be nominated but, you may need this link for another post elsewhere

A riddle! Very clever
I’m really struggling to think of something that will fit within the time I have. I have loads of ideas for things that will take me forever to do.
I struggled too, for the same reason. I has grand ideas, but no time. I shall keep the ideas on file for next year.
Nice one a riddle, too tired today to work it out, I’ll come back to it
Oh, thanks for the prompt – I’ll need to nominate a closing date. Will edit the post
I sent in my guess. What a fab idea for Day 5!
email received. Thank you
Awesome! I’m going to have to come back and solve this when I’m not at work!
See you later, Liz
I guess I’m not great at riddles because I have NO IDEA. But, I definitely LOVE the post. Very clever!
Thank you! You have a week to figure it out in, something may come to mind in the next few days maybe.
That was so utterly cute! I’m rubbish at riddles but I had to give it a shot.
Thank you. Sadly, your answer needed to be something more specific than you gave.
What a clever riddle. I’m a little brain dead right now, and it’s way too clever for me to figure out. I’ll come back later. But great post and entry for Day 5!
Took me a while, but with the help of the later explaining post I think I got there.
Oh, I think I figured it out! It took me a bit to figure out how it worked, but now I hope I got it right
Thanks for having a go, Anji. Come back Saturday to see if you have the correct answer…
I’m so bad at these things. My head hurts just thinking about it. But it is a great idea!
