Well, I think it’s safe to say that Autumn has arrived! We’re in the middle of our first proper autumnal gale – a Northerly, gusting to 55mph at the moment.
To get the horses in I dug out a woolly hat and tied it on with my headscarf, found a scarf to wind round my neck and ventured forth. Needless to say the horses were fairly keen to come in!
The sheep stay out, but they get fed twice a day – it improves their fleeces, and so I battled my way down the track to their field and gave them their dinner.
Tan, needless to say, was happy to run round the far side of the byres to find the right place to go – I let her get on with it and stood in the shelter of the old piggy shed to wait for her.
