It was back to town again yesterday, this time with my DH and not with Gill. We were headed to an emergency dental appointment, thankfully not mine. I took the Rivulet with me and moved it on by a few rows – the rows are becoming lengthy now as I close in on the armpits. It’s going to be a smashing cardigan and I really wish that I could find more time in which to work on it.
I picked up a few things in Tesco, mainly for the event on Friday and I managed to get a few photographs in. We passed some time in the garden centre, which is lovely and warm for a body with face-ache.
I got my blip of the day by pointing my camera across the road from the dentist. Spring must be coming, the rooks are nesting, but there are no leaves on the trees to support the theory.
We walked up towards Hatston to visit the stove shop in order to price new Rayburn ranges. It didn’t sound a lot if said quickly. Rather a scary potential purchase but an exciting prospect nonetheless.
On the way home I knitted on my cardi and took secret pot shots of the old man. I liked it that as he tapped in time to the music on his iPod, his hand was reflected in its screen.
Believe it or not, I have to return to Kirkwall once more next week. Mr L is coming along again. I have to go to the hospital and he wants us to look at doors and windows. It’s all go around here. In the meantime, there is an unbelievable amount of work to do before Friday. Which reminds me that I must dash – I left a pan of soup bubbling in the kitchen!
