I managed to do the heel flap and turn on the secret sock last night, and begin the foot. I took it to bed after a much-needed hot bath and I knit while I listened to my Kindle (Year of the Flood, Margaret Atwood.) I am making good progress but fretting about the sufficiency of yarn. I really need to get it completed today and do some weighing so that I can Officially Panic, if needs be. Overall my goal (ambitious) is to get the Secret Knitting projects in the mail around the middle of next week. This will leave little time for anything else, but I want the peace of mind.
One thing that I do hope to make time for, is photographing the nosties – the replacement bulb for my mini studio light arrived this morning. Nosties have been selling well recently and I really need to get the new stock up.
Knitting time was a little restricted yesterday when one of our spinning group turned up to sit and spin with me. Fair enough, I have claimed that the hours between 2 and 4 are studio time and that I shall spin. So we did. Very pleasant it was too. I made headway on the dyed BFL worsted practice. To tell the truth, I am wishing that to be done. It goes on, and on, and on, and on… but my results are better and my wrist is free of pain so there is a result for all that practising. Once I have plyed, I am going to turn my attention back to the woollen long draw and try to get some knittable yarn from it.
So, I am catching up on all fronts one way or another. If I stay here wittering, I shall slip behind again. So I am off. Time to organise the kitchen for lunch, then I’ll set up for some photographs. This afternoon will be knitting again. Knit, knit, knit until I graft.
