Spurred on, I decided to have a go with the hackle that we’d bought from Wingham Wool Works a little while ago. Before dinner I did a little – tentatively, but after dinner I decided to have another go.
As I’m just doing this for practice at the moment, I chose some reasonably uninspiring colours – and realised that uninspiring mixed together can produce wonderful results.
Inspired by my hackling efforts, I went on to spin and Navajo ply 50g – all in about 2 hours.
Here’s what it looked like.
Now, what can I do with 88 yards of soft thickish yarn. A cowl or mini-scarf perhaps?
