So, today was set aside for making curtains. We will gloss around the fact that I just filled the work table with yarn – new niddy noddies have arrived and I was seeking a way to store them. I swapped yarn out of a plastic crate and put woodware in it, thereby freeing up a chest drawer for knitted items… (and thus it goes on.)
The thing is… I realised in the night that not once during the Big Move have I seen my dressmaking shears. I have absolutely no idea where to find them.
I shall come at the problem sideways. If I set about seeking a new home for a table-full of yarn, I may just stumble across my Fiskars. Yes? That’s the way things normally happen around here.
Anyway. They are big and shiny and have bright orange handles. Give us a shout if you spot them, please. I shall be in the kitchen making a brunch of smokey bacon, scrambled eggs, American pancakes and maple syrup.
We hammered out a KnitPro order last night. We have new lines coming and this time we are catering for the crocheters among us. There will be fixed circular knitting needles in the metal Nova range and also in the Karbonz (so sorry about that spelling!) carbon fibre range. There will be long straights in carbon fibre too and DPNs, including 1.00mm teeny tiny needles for little things and posh lace projects. We also ordered some cute little stitch markers.
I can’t wait to get my hands on the new stuff – especially those 1.00mm needles. I’m going to be perusing my Niebling patterns in readiness.
