Hello World

The mist that has plagued us for what seems like forever, but was only several days, has lifted today. It is good to see the world out there at last. This means that I shall be spending my day with the laundry basket.

Gill is away on her hols today. As Gill does the postal runs and my vehicle situation remains a little “challenged” (I have still not been permitted to drive the Land Rover!) please bear with us if  posting appears erratic for the next couple of weeks… I’ll do my best, but if it’s too windy to cycle or too wet to walk… I might well exhibit a small reluctance and defer for 24 hours. Of course, I shall be as prompt as I am able. We speak only of exceptional weather conditions here…

And now I must get on and pack some orders. As I am to be Ms Washerwoman today, perhaps you’d like to tell us what you are up to? I am certain it must be more interesting than anything that I have to tell today!

What’s on your wheels, readers? or on your needles?

Today is my day off from work. The boy is at pre-school and the baby is asleep for the moment, so once I have finished perusing the blogs I shall head downstairs and knit on my beaded socks. Far too wet here for washing day!

Beaded socks sound a tad uncomfortable. 🙂 They’re bound to be very pretty though. 🙂

I have often wondered about that myself. I think we should be told.

The beads are only on the leg and (optionally) on the top of the foot. I think they’ll be fine as long as I don’t wear them with boots. I’ll blog in due course.
