Beth is currently triumphantly knitting her own yarn, into a Spring Cap by Woolly Wormhead.
The "Delightful" yarn was spun from hand dyed pencil rovings by Natalie Fergie at The Yarn Yard . Beth spun a thick and thin yarn, plying a shaded pink thin single to a lumpy bumpy variegated single in pink/blue/sea green hues. (Delightful can be seen at Flickr ) Woolly Wormhead's Spring Cap is well suited to a textural handpsun yarn and would look equally as good in natural shades as it does in sweet Spring pastels. In fact. Beth is enjoying this knit so much that she may well produce a second cap in undyed yarns later. Ravelry users may see a selection of Spring Caps here, including some completed handpsun versions |
