A new product coming soon: Hand-turned Nostepinnes. Hand made by a local Sanday craftsman, these nostepinnes are a delightful addition to the knitter's or spinner's workbasket.

Each nostepinne is unique - they are made from different woods and each to a slightly different design, making each an individual work of art. The Nostepinnes are hand finished with a light coat of wax, to bring out the grain of the wood.

A Nostepinne is used to hand wind a centre-wound ball of yarn, either from a standard ball or a skein. Centre-wound balls are less likely to come unraveled. They are also useful where the knitter wishes to knit from both ends of the skein at one time.
