The Sanday Spinners are following a long line of Sanday and Orcadian tradition. Our yarns are spun by hand at home by our members from natural raw sheep fleece, many of which are sourced locally.

Our speciality is the natural undyed fleece, resulting in a wide range of colours from white to black and very many shades of brown.

Every skein that we produce is unique, reflecting the specific characteristics of the fleece and of the individual spinner's craft.

Each of our products is a little work of art, and a little piece of Sanday too.

At the present time we have a selection of Gill's handspun Jacob skeins available for sale.

Skeins from Marja and Jean will be available soon.

In the future you will also be able to buy handknit items, patterms, and knititng kits, as well as a range of other Sanday crafted items.
