Hello, my name is Gill Best. I have been spinning for over 30 years. I have a small flock of sheep, Hebridean, Shetland and Jacob - some of which gained prizes at the 2007 Sanday Show.

Currently I'm selling skeins of handspun Jacob from a Sanday-sourced fleece. These skeins are naturally coloured "black" and white, giving a natural tweed effect of dark chocolate brown and white, or a completely random effect - dependent on the way that the fleece is divided for spinning and plying.
