Well, the lights have stayed on and the wind is easing back. There remains time for things to become interesting.
When we bought this house, the previous owner told us that in winter, under the right conditions, the sea may get in the garden. He told us not to worry, it won’t reach the house.
Well, we have waited and waited. This is our seventh winter here and today looks as though it may be the day. Pressure is low, winds are high and have been from the South, it’s a Spring tide…
Still an hour to high tide but the sea is breaking over the road already. There’s a quantity of rubbish at our gate, we are just wrapping up and going out to see what can be done.
I’m a little worried about our neighbours, they are right on the edge of the sea.
