Sloppy Joe

The new Twist Collective is out. As usual, there is a load of inspiration and several patterns look like they would make up well in handspun yarns…

Fairly recently I was trying to describe to Gill (a mere slip of a gal) the notion of a Sloppy Joe sweater. I was fancying making myself one such as the sweaters that I wore in my early teens (oh, to have that figure, though!)

Sloppy Joes are to me the ultimate comfort sweater. Pulled on over leggings,  they are ideal for curling up with a good book by the fire.

Just look at this in the new Twist!

Imagine that in shades of Jacob?

Crosstrail by Norah Gaughan Pattern $6

Gauge: 14 sts and 20 rows = 4″ / 10 cm in Stockinette st on 6mm needles

I love it. It’s perfect!

Ooh, I could adapt that waistcoat pattern to do something like that! 🙂
(Now that I know what a ‘Sloppy Joe’ is!)

I think we may truthfully acknowledge that you thoroughly got the hang of sloppy style with your weskit 🙂
