Wow, April is beginning to run away from us already, isn’t it – and I have not even cast on my April project yet. Yes, it is a UFO, but it’s a frogged one.
Really, the weather is just too nice to be sitting knitting. the sun beckons me outside with my camera. Really, the sun seems to be endless – I am almost fed up of it now. This may be difficult to believe for those of you who are faring less well than we are in Orkney but here’s how things looked on Friday afternoon, when Mr L finished work early so that we could go and play on the beach:
Luvverley, it was.
Today I am baking and replenishing food supplies on-line. I think I had best concentrate on finding April’s UFO and casting it on again later. I was going to get on my bike and take the camera for a spin but it seems that we are unable to pump up our tyres. I have added “new bicycle pump” to my shopping list for Kirkwall this week.
In woolly news: Gill has lambs! I am certain that she will be along soon to tell us all about it.
One admin note: when Gill is not busy lambing, we shall be addressing the Royal Mail’s new postage charges. We absorbed them last year, so it seems unlikely that we can avoid raising prices this time – especially for anything posted in a tube – like straight needles and Niddy Noddies. If I were you, I’d nip in quick. Not that I want us to operate on a loss but… well, you know. The new rules seem complex – we may need a bit of time to get our heads around it.
Knit Crochet Blog Week: I am reviewing my plans to participate. The topics are out and they are not firing me at all. Who is in and who is out – do tell us.
Right – I away to bake that very interesting loaf and I plan to whip up a sponge for tea while I am in the kitchen. I have some freeze-dried berries reconstituting in apple juice – they shall be rippled through some mascarpone to sandwich the cake.
