I decided that something needed doing with last week’s bread, before it made its own decision. So after lunch I made some bread pudding.
I had about half a loaf of bread left, which I soaked in warm water, before squeezing the water out, a knob of butter about 2″ x 3″x 3″ and three smallish eggs. I also added 2 heaped tablespoons of light soft brown sugar, a couple of handfuls of sultanas, a couple of tsp of mixed peel and 2 tsp mixed spice. The mix was completed with 4 or 5 heaped tbs of SR flour.
40 minutes in the oven and we had a very nice bread pudding. 🙂
